Prices of all kinds of edible oil will come down by Tk 5.0 per litre from Saturday.
The announcement came after a meeting on Thursday between Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and a delegation of the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association at his ministry office.
Tofail Ahmed after the meeting with the edible oil importers and refiners said the decision would take effect on Saturday.
The minister said the association leaders proposed a cut in the prices by Tk 4.0 per litre.
Then the association’s secretary Fazlur Rahman decided to cut the oil price by Tk 5.0 a litre, the minister added.
