The Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman on Wednesday said, 'The country's banking sector has gained abilities to cope with economic difficulties there.'
'So there are no anxieties in this regard,' the BB boss added.
Dr. Atiur Rahman came up with the comments while addressing a foundation-stone programme in the port city on the day.
'Bangladesh kept its standards in banking capital more than the international standards,' he stated.
While speaking in the programme he also said, 'We have reduced the number of defaulted loans in the sector recently and this is the good sign for a country like ours.'
